Dental implant treatment is a procedure that replaces tooth roots with metal, screw-like posts and replaces damaged or missing teeth with artificial teeth that look and function much like real ones. Dental implants can offer an advanced alternative to dentures or bridgework and can offer an option when missing tooth/teeth condition doesn’t allow building denture or bridgework tooth/teeth replacements.
Dental implants are surgically placed in the jawbone, where they serve as the roots of missing teeth. The titanium in the implants fuses with the jawbone, it prevents further bone resorption and makes a stable foundation for the crowns or prosthesis to replace missing teeth. An implant may support a single tooth or multiple teeth through custom-made crowns, bridges, and or prosthesis.

Implant Surgery
It is a process of placing dental implants in jaw bone to replace missing teeth. Dental implants are embedded in jawbone – just like natural teeth serve as the “root” of the artificial tooth being implemented.
Once placed, the Implants “fuses” with the jawbone through a process called osseointegration. There’s no shortcut to get around that process, and it usually takes few months once the implant is placed in jawbone.
Because several surgical procedures are required for dental implants, our Implant team will do a full and thorough evaluation, including X-rays and teeth models to ensure the dental implants will closely match your natural teeth
